I am a certified birth doula with seven years experience, offering comprehensive care before, during and after your labor and birth. I offer a free consultation in person to discuss my services and to decide if we’d like to work together. This meeting is usually 30-45 minutes.

My birth doula services include:

• Two prenatal meetings
• Attendance during your labor and birth plus 1-3 hours postpartum
• Two postpartum visits with breastfeeding support
• 24 hour support by phone and email from the time you hire me
• A typed copy of the notes from your birth
• Photos and/or video taken of the birth, if you desire
• Availability of a back up doula
• Library of videos and books available to you on loan
• Lots of compassionate, nurturing, attentive support for mom and partner
• A Gift Basket of goodies for Mom and Baby

Fee: $1200-$1800 sliding scale.

Childbirth Classes

Private childbirth classes offer busy parents an alternative to the commitment of a series of weekly classes. My sessions are taught in the privacy of your own home and convenient to your scheduling needs.

My childbirth educator services include:

• One or two session options for you to choose from
• Comprehensive childbirth education tailored to your needs and place of birth
• Hands on technique and practice of coping and comfort measures for birth
• Library of videos and books available for you on loan
• Flexible scheduling to meet your needs
• Help with writing a birth plan
• Discount available if I am also your birth doula

Fees: $120 for One 3 hour session. $180 for Two 2 1/2 hour sessions.

Placenta Services

There are many health benefits to ingesting placenta in a capsule form. It is a common practice in Chinese medicine for the hormonal benefits it provides to new mothers. I have been trained and have experience  encapsulating placenta for therapeutic use. If you would like more information, please ask me about it at our meeting.

Placenta preparation services:

• Preparation of placenta for encapsulation for postpartum consumption (see benefits below)
• Instruction on preparation of placental homeopathic remedy for Mom and Baby
• Placenta prints

Benefits:

• Increase in breastmilk production
• Decrease in incidence or severity of postpartum depression (due to the abundance of hormones in the placenta)
• Better postpartum recovery period

Fee: $150/ $100 for doula clients
